James has been working at the Faculty since 1994, when it was a college of Special Needs Education and Social Work. He has a degree in Social Studies, a PGCE in Education (Primary) and an RSA TEFL certificate. He spent six years working in community residential care in the UK, mainly with adults with Intellectual Disabilities, and has also taught at a primary school in London. Besides working at the Faculty as an ESP teacher and lector, he has taught at a secondary school in Budapest, as well as teaching a variety of English courses including Business English and Young Learners. As the field of Special Needs Education is subject to continual change, with regard to terminology and concepts, so James has always strived to keep abreast of new developments.
